The role

Nettitude is looking to recruit a QA Tester to work within its Research & Innovation Department developing bespoke security-related software for internal use and client facing applications. The key areas of responsibility will include:

• Helping to ensure the quality, and above all the security, of software developed by Nettitude
• Preparing the test strategy and test plans
• Developing scripts to run automated tests

Skills and experience

Essential skills and experience would include:

• High attention to detail and solid analytical skills
• Good working knowledge of test management software, programming languages, and QA methodologies, including Automation testing
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, accompanied by a collaborative spirit and good team working
• Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing (desired)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (desired)

Please, note that previous experience in development and ownership of system test plan is a mandatory requirement.

We would also be looking for advanced skills in at least some of the technologies commonly used in Nettitude projects:

• Knowledge of management software (Atlassian JIRA and Confluence preferred)
• Experience with test tools (Selenium, TestComplete, SonarQube, ..)
• Experience with ReactJS and/or NodeJS, JavaScript, Python
• Knowledge of MongoDB, ElasticSearch (or other NoSQL databases)

What you’ll be doing

We are searching for an enthusiastic QA tester who can construct and execute detailed test plans to maximize the usability of our products. This individual must collaborate with developers and engineers in order to identify programming defects and fine-tune software code. The ideal candidate needs a proficient understanding of testing procedures as well as coding languages along with a passion for teamwork.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and analysing system specifications
• Reviewing test procedures and executing test scripts
• Documents and evaluates test results, reporting and documenting technical issues (bugs) and recommending improvements
• Partnering with engineers to drive QA efforts

Location

This role can be home- or office-based at the preference of the successful candidate. At a minimum it will be necessary to reside in the UK or Greece, and to make occasional visits to our local office on an ad hoc basis.
